Short stay visa
The short-stay visa covers a period of 90 days spent in France over a period of 180 days. It is valid for one or more entries.
Long stay visa
Beyond three months, you must apply for a long-stay visa, which takes longer to apply for. It is issued under the following conditions:
- You come to have a professional activity
- You plan to study in France
- You are taking a supervised training course
- You are taking part in a supervised internship
- You're being reunited with your family.
All these motivations need to be supported by documentary evidence.
Depending on the reason of your stay, you will receive one of these three long-stay visas :
1 - The Long Stay Visa, valid as a Residence Permit: VLS-TS
This type of visa is issued for stays of up to one year. You must register with the territorial office of the OFII – French Office of Immigration and Integration – in your place of residence, as soon as you arrive.
The long-stay visa is valid as a residence permit, and replaces a residence permit for one year and allows you to work in France.
2 - The Temporary Long Stay Visa : VLS-T
Provided you are eligible, you will be issued this type of visa if you are sure that your stay in France will not last more than one year.
3 - The Long Stay Visa with the mention « Carte De Séjour À Solliciter Dans Les 2 Mois Suivant L’arrivée »
You will have to go to the Prefecture within two months of your arrival in order to receive a residence permit. You can receive a multi-annual residence permit, in particular for visas issued under the “Passeport-talent” permit.

- Complete and print the visa application form
- Register with TLS Contact to save the visa application
- Make an appointment at the TLS Contact center to submit your visa application file.
- Paying the visa fee at a Wafacash agency
- Gathering the required documents to apply for a French visa as a Moroccan citizen
- Go to the appointment at the TLS Contact center
- Collect your passport from TLS Contact after it has been processed, which takes between 15 and 60 days.
